Coin Appalam
Product Details
Coin Appalam is a traditional South Indian bite-sized variation of appalam (papad), made using urad dal flour, rice flour, salt, and mild spices. The dough is rolled thin, cut into small round “coin-sized” shapes, and sun-dried until crisp for long shelf life.
When deep-fried in hot oil, Coin Appalam puffs up quickly and turns light, crunchy, and golden. Its small size makes it perfect for snacking, serving at parties, or as a crispy accompaniment with South Indian meals like rice, sambar, rasam, and curd rice.
